Amidst Fields of Dry
Through my eyes I see a home of old
If it could speak what would I be told
Would it be stories of joy or sadness and hurt
Will I ever be told before it's crumbled to dirt
Below a saddened sky amidst fields of dry
Could this be reason as I wonder why
Barren lands as the eye can see
Is this the answer that's in front of me
A dilapidated fence with wire of old
No more are the beasts that were in safety hold
Hedgerows so brittle in decaying cascade
Here nature has spoken with her typical tirade
Through my eyes I see a home of old
If it could speak what would I be told
Death is never lasting as I look to my right
For a greened tree prospers, it gives me light
Seasonal Sanity
Reflections of Autumn on the pond so still
Like a dying rainbow my eyes in fill
A tear drop in fall to this surface of glass
Drifts now forever but it's always to last
Browns, reds and ochre's in kaleidoscopic view
Whilst dark shaped veins start to show true
Trees will appear in skeletal shape
Naked to bare now having lost their drape
Into Winters abyss of seasonal change
One has to wonder is nature so deranged
Then comes the Spring as we marvel once again
For when we view her Summers, we know she's sane
Morning Dew
Droplets of the morn
gracing life's exposed objects
a web I image
exposing a craft so pure
in moist delightful capture
Cobalt Cragged Peaks
Cobalt cragged peaks amidst clouds
Cathedrals they are, proud so tall
Years of erosion now shout loud
My eyes now view in total thrall
Their reflections upon natures pure
Sharing many marvels from her brochure
Against her White
In her wilderness
Snow covered conifers, quiet
A bald Eagle glides
As If By Magic
in horizon show
our lunar orb hovers bright
as if by magic
two worlds in capture
cobalt rippled reflections
quietly they dance
Top of the World
natures monoliths
so scalable is their sight
will man ever rest
Her Virginal Lie
The first snowfall has arrived, carpeting natures grounds
Her pure virgin lay blows me away in total abound
The winters colours now hidden, no more ashen dulls and greys
For a marvel appears before me, I'm smiling on a winters day
Skeletal trees show promise, shadowed by topside white
In turn it allows the nighttime to show an element of bright
Rooftops now show like tiles amidst a background of black
Streetlights sharpen it's glow, for it's white shall never lack
I awaken the following morning to find her virginal lie now scathed
Footsteps of natures creatures criss-crossing their mental pave
Having witnessed the first snows of winter, shows another seasons here
Her tomorrows I look so forward to, to me she so endears
Her Mirrored World
I'm standing where no one has stood
Well no one as far as I can tell
It's a vibe that enters my soul
I'm bought, my eyes are in sell
In front of me I view
It's an avenue in natures world
On the left are rocky scree slopes
On my right my hearts in swirl
For a carpet of green greets me
To the horizon thats so far away
In front are many snow capped peaks
Caressed in a snowy display
Running through the avenues center
Is a mirror of translucent pure
I feel as I'm looking at two worlds
If I stand on my head I'm still unsure
Once and a while I see ripples
The mirror cracks for a moment or two
Then it returns to it's previous
Sky blue and beautifully true
Winter to Spring
Continuous we are in this seasonal bliss
every time I look in total astound
living the seasons, so delightful in wish
it's the joy of anew on natures grounds
that absorbs me so as I look around.
Having waved goodbye to the colds of Winter
one can't help admiring this wonder of new
natures wrath can slice and splinter
but for the wonderment of Springs crispy blue
one can only admire her true now in hue.
Into The Valley
To listen to our elders, and experience, the experience
All it takes in Tornado Alley, in sky view believe it
This is where we see the gloom in cobalt steel blues
Has a colour ever been acclaimed so much on the news
It's changes in shade, even whilst the minutes lapse
Once darker becomes her wrath, in touch within her clasp
She even takes our images, with these flashes of captured view
Alluring us in invitation, then allowing her strength to spew
I see nothing different to the decades of years I've been
Maybe it's now in view, to this modern human circus theme
I can still recall the past, when giants roamed the earth
And yet they have still to complain, in the country of their birth
I'm an entity of being out there, do I apologise and feel my course
For this I'm unable to answer for which I'll never feel remorse
Upon rising from the shelter, storm damage explodes my view
Upturned monsters of the highway, skeletal trees stand untrue
Picket fences penetrate tree trunks that have withstood so many years
Assassinated by she called nature, guaranteed there are no tears
School buses in dented show, but allowing it's kids to be safe
But her anger still continues to flow, neighbour hoods safety depraved
I see nothing different to the decades of years I've been
Maybe it's now in view, to this modern human circus theme
I can still recall the past, when giants roamed the earth
And yet they have still to complain, in the country of their birth
I'm an entity of being out there, do I apologise and feel my course
For this I'm unable to answer for which I'll never feel remorse
Into the valley we have ventured, amidst the land of the free
Being here we were but strangers, for we culled the ones that could see
